A note from the producer:

This is a special single release to benefit opera singer, Tim Blevins, who resides in San Francisco. Formerly homeless, Tim could be seen busking at the 16th Street BART station in the Mission for many years. I first met Tim in 2016 when we collaborated on a live show for Pop-Up Magazine where he was to booked to sing this song at the Greek Theater in Berkeley in front of 5000 people. I was tasked with writing the band/orchestra/choir arrangements and as expected Tim brought the house down!

In 2018, Tim, The Magik*Magik Orchestra and City Church Chamber Choir reunited at the legendary Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. The project was entirely funded by the M*MO and it is my great pleasure to present the final recording to Tim. He is an artist for whom I have profound respect and I hope that the proceeds from this single can act as a small support to him on his long creative life ahead.

In a strange twist of fate, this recording of "The Impossible Dream" turned out to be the last song ever mixed at Fantasy Studios before it closed its doors. Hearing this track now in 2020 is bittersweet but I hope it can serve as a musical toast to Tim, to Fantasy Studios and to all my fellow artists in the Bay Area still dreaming together.
